Vision

A vision that I'm in when I sleep.
Another land that becomes my reality for those few
nightly hours.
Completely opposite from my normal existence, there I
can be what ever I choose, wherever I please.
The magic begins and I'm whisked off on a
roller coaster of fantasy, dizzily spinning with the
thrill of the ride.

My dreams are one of the few places I have left to
bask in a naive innocence I have since lost with age.
The reality that accompanies being an adult also brings
with it a loss. That childlike magic that kept me
guessing, and the infinite imagination that escapes us
with age can once again be captured in my dreams.
Only there come my feelings truly become free and
take on shapes and images all of their own.

I consider myself to be at my truest in a dream. With
nothing held back and only the purest of emotions
played out in my own movie theatre. A puzzled show of
pictures and scenes jumbled together, there one minute
and forgotten the next.

There my conscience can can breathe a sigh of relief
as it leaves my reality behind and enter its own
private world of make believe.
Everyone needs an escape of this kind. Its a
scientific fact that lack of sleep and dreaming can
cause of medical condition known as insomnia - a term
for a sort of craziness.

Well. I don't know what I'd do without mine.
There's a sort of comfort knowing that there's still one
place left that can't be touched.
